Agent Clearing Settings

Agent Clearing Settings are the configurations for an Agent that can be used for clearing of the payment messsages between the Processing Entity and the Agent. These settings are independent of the transfer currency and do not concern with actual settlement. Agent Clearing Settings are optional configurations and should be set up when these are required against an Agent.

Dynamic Configuration Properties

Name Description

ProcessingEntity

For Clients who may wish to configure different Settings for different entities within their organisation (e.g. different Branches) This value will define which Processing Entity this record applies to.

AgentUniqueId

A unique identifier assigned by the Processing Entity to the Agent. The AgentUniqueId is defined on the Agent settings.

CoverSerialMethod

The mode of clearing of messages between the agent. This will be applicable for Correspondent agents in general. This can also apply to IngraGroup agent as well. If for the same agent, both the Cover and Serial methods apply (unlikely but possible), then that agent should be added as a separate Agent record for clean data set up.

TimeZone

Conditional on OpeningTime / ClosingTime. Needs to be populated when OpeningTime / ClosingTime are populated. Enum list of the tz based timezone lists. Extensible for client implementations.

OpeningTime

Opening time for concerning day of week (Local time as per the timezone specified)

ClosingTime

Closing time for concerning day of week (Local time as per the timezone specified)

OpeningExtension

Temporary extension of operating hours, specified in minutes.

+ ExtensionInMinutes

An extension period to the standard Closing time, specified in minutes. This should not exceed 360 minutes and when set, must be more than 0 minutes.

+ ExtensionExpiresOnDate

The date when the extension should expire and regular closing time should be used.

AgentBusinessCalendarId

The Business calendar for the agent, this can be defined for any agent type but will particularly be required for Agent type of ACH. This can also be required for correspondent and IntraGroup type agents, but the need should be evaluated by Client Implementations.

AgentBusinessHolidayCalendarId

The holiday calendar with non-calendar Holidays. This can be defined for any agent type but will particularly be required for Agent type of ACH. This can also be required for correspondent and IntraGroup type agents, but the need should be evaluated by Client Implementations.

Setting Type

DPS v2 introduced new attribute of Setting Type. This is used for generation of all API endpoints for a particular setting. It is also used in index-config.<setting type> construct. SETTING_TYPE = "agentclearingsettings"

Searchable Fields

Searchable field for Agent Clearing Settings is:

  • agentUniqueId

Indexes

DPS v2 provides an option to configure indexes for each setting. Default indexes for Agent Clearing Settings are:

ipf.dps.mongodb.index-config.agentclearingsettings {
    index-1 = ["status:ASC"]
    index-2 = ["processingEntity:ASC"]
    index-3 = ["values.payload.agentUniqueId:ASC"]
    index-4 = ["payload.agentUniqueId:ASC"]
    index-5 = ["lastUpdatedAt:ASC"]
}

This can be overridden or updated. Just note that when the field is under payload, you need to provide an index like: index-x = ["values.payload.fieldX:ASC"].

Field processingEntity is added in to the setting search so for better performances is recommended that index for processingEntity is created.

Notifications

DPS v2 can provide notification after certain CRUD operation on a setting is performed. There is an option to enable notifications on setting level. Notifications are disabled by default:

ipf.csm-reachability.should-send-notification.agent-clearing-settings-settings = false

History

There is an option to disable history on setting level. History is enabled by default:

ipf.csm-reachability.should-save-history.agent-clearing-settings-settings = true

Please refer Dynamic Configuration Management Guidelines for steps to be followed for configuring the dynamic configurations.
