Scaffolder Features
The scaffolder is capable of building different types of applications depending on what the intended use is. This section details the different options and what their core usage is.
Reusable Components
When working with IPF applications, it is possible to create MPS artefacts that can be used and then plugged into another IPF application. These reusable components are not expected to be run on their own but form an important part of a wider IPF ecosystem. If this is required, we generate the project using the "includeApplication" and "includeE2E" flags both with value "n". The 'includeBuildScripts' property should be set to 'y'.
Flow Based Applications
The second core usage is to build flow applications. These are expected to be used as core IPF orchestration applications. In this case we set the "includeApplication" flag to "y". Optionally we can set the "includeE2E" flag to "y", if this is done then an end to end setup including all the basis of running the application and tests in docker are included. The 'includeBuildScripts' property should be set to 'n'.
