Message Logging

Overview

Verification of Payee (VoP) Responder logs all messages using the IPF message logger.

By default, the message logger in VoP Responder is configured to use Kafka but can optionally be switched to use MonogoDB by setting the message.logger.type as defined in the message logger documentation. Furthermore, topics or collection names and how to configure them can also be found from the message logger pages.

The VoP Responder logs the following messages:

  • Incoming RVM Request/Response

  • Account Management Request/Response

Additionally, data going out via Identity Resolution to Netowl will also be captured in a Processing Archive Message

All message logs are linked by a messageId which comes from the requestId header in the request message. This can be linked to the Processing Archive Message via the requestId field.

The below diagram depicts the message logs messageType to and from the services, using FPAD as the selected RVM.
